US carriers started selling Windows Phone 7 devices in the US today. The AT&T lineup involves both the HTC Surround and the Samsung Focus, while the T-Mobile launch so far includes only the HTC HD7. A handful of phones, such as the Dell Venue Pro and LG Quantum, are still waiting for their debut in the next few weeks.
“Windows Phone 7 is the most thoroughly tested mobile platform Microsoft has ever released,” said some time ago Terry Myerson, Microsoft’s corporate vice president of windows phone engineering.
