Making Sense expands to the East CoastSAN ANTONIO, United States, Jan. 15th, 2012- Cesar DOnofrio, CEO of Making Sense and active member of the Nearshore Executive Alliance, announced today that Robert Matthews is the new VP Business Development for IT Services at Making Sense.
With the incorporation of Robert Matthews, Making Sense is now expanding its business to the East Coast of the United States. Our new office will be located in Boston, Massachusetts where Robert will be in contact with new clients and carry activities such as strategic management, sales, and entrepreneurship.
“I met Robert through a mutual friend. He is a very friendly person who possesses great communication skills and easily connects to the community,” said Cesar. “I truly believe he will be a great asset to Making Sense and will successfully transmit the concept, service and culture of our company to partners and future clients. With over 15 years experience in the IT market, Rob is an expert who can easily identify the advantages of the Nearshore model in contrast to Offshoring. It is an honour to welcome him on board.”
Rob will be working with leads and getting in contact with possible clients. On the other hand he will maintain constant meetings with our direct clients and strategic alliance partners like Microsoft, that can extend the reach of Making Sense into the US.
Rob will also be leveraging his experience and knowledge of the outsourcing market to raise awareness for the benefits of the Nearshore model. The main benefits of this model are same time zone, cultural affinity and access to top tier talent. In many cases proximity allows for similar lifestyles, customs and styles of communications. Finally, it is also important to mention that this model promotes easiness in interaction between companies. Those Agile projects that demand constant communication with the outsourcing partner can easily take place due to similar working hours.
“I have many years of experience working within global sales and technology marketing,” said Robert. “I have a broad knowledge of the IT Market and I strongly believe this form of outsourcing that refers to services delivered from an adjacent or nearby location is growing extremely fast. In recent years Latam has become an outsourcing leader in the IT industry. It is a privilege assisting Making Sense with their expansion to the East Coast where I will be contacting with new clients and carrying activities such as strategic management, sales, and entrepreneurship.”
