More Give, Less Take!
In a special time of the year like the holidays where the “giving and receiving” spirit fills the air, Making Sense visited the “María Madre de los Niños” Children’s shelter in the city of Mar del Plata, Argentina.
For the past year, Making Sense has continuously worked on projects with the shelter, visiting its facilities and discussing children’s necessities with its authorities. In the month of December, while most children were waiting for Christmas to arrive, Making Sense team visited the children’s shelter in the periphery of Mar del Plata and gave away many wonderful presents! Thanks to our employee’s donations the childrens at the shelter were able to open a gift this past Christmas eve.
Great people for a great cause!
Gabriel Buyatti, HR Manager in Making Sense organized the “More give, Less take” community service campaign at the different Making Sense’s offices. During three weeks members of the Making Sense teams donated their toys and money to give the children at the shelter the opportunity to have each a Christmas present.
Constant flyers were posted in the Making Sense’s offices and many emails were sent as a remainder of the ongoing donations. Thanks to the effort and generosity of all MakingSensers the campaign was a real success!
Volunteering reached all of our members!
Our CEO, Cesar DOnofrio together with Making Sense’s HR director and marketing managers personally visited the Maria Madre shelter in order to meet the children, give the gifts to the shelter’s authorities, and wish them a joyful holiday season. The visit was also an opportunity to discuss some new project proposals with “Beby,” the director of the Shelter. Making Sense communicated its idea of the creation of a computer lab to be used by all the María Madre de los Niños community. In addition to this, new projects for the year 2013-2014 were introduced including free and private English and computer classes to be given by Making Sense team members.
